The thing is, Ed isn’t talking about an album leak, he’s just talking about downloading the album in general. An album leak is different, because all the hard work that the boys were excited about celebrating all at once on the release date has basically been released in a way that they can’t be a part of - the surprise, and the celebration, have been ruined. They didn’t get to tease us in the hours leading up to the release, they didn’t get to be involved with the first time we heard all of the songs. Leaks take away from the new album experience, and therefore Niall is justified in being a little upset about it.
